One big advantage of living in the Sierra Nevada mountain village of Oakhurst is the many local events that take place. If somebody's in trouble, there's a benefit spaghetti feed on a moment's notice and hundreds turn out. When the Oakhurst Car Club has its annual show, thousands come to visit from far and wide.

I caught a snapshot of these 3 men admiring an old Model A Ford and thought it was rather a Norman Rockwellian scene. I'd have thought the cherry souped-up roadsters would have been the attention getters!

And if you want some real fun, come visit Oakhurst, California any Memorial Day or Labor Day weekend for the big Oakhurst Peddler's Fair.
