If it weren't for some mountains a a whole lot of trees, Oakhurst might look out over the great, fertile San Joaquin Valley of California. Up here on our perch, we always appreciate the many crops grown by the Valley's farmers. Grapes are a primary crop - as are their many derivatives including wine, grape seed oil, and raisins. Yum!

This painting hung for several months at Border's Book Store in Fresno's River Park Center. I like the formalness of the style, yet the informality of the subject matter. Food and I are very close friends.
