I often insert town names in my painting titles so it helps me remember the place and time. In this case, we stopped at a roadside farm stand near Bloomington, Indiana (Go Hoosiers!) on the same back road used in filming the movie "Breaking Away". We bought these Autumn squash to take home for decoration. Before they became decor, though, they became models for this painting. Everything but the squash and the plate is "made up". I wanted a homey setting for the little darlings.
